IMG_1059 2014 Larchmont Race Week Trophy

Although recently Harlem Yacht Club may not seem like much of a racing club, some of our members are very active on the circuit. Sailmaker, National and World Champion Paul Beaudin has been representing the club by burning up the regional race course this season with his J-105, loulou. Last week, winning the 116th Larchmont Senior Race Week not only in class but also the Charles H.Vanderlaan Trophy for overall best performance (loulou’s third for time on both merits in the past 4 years) was as thrilling as ever! This was especially so because on the 2nd weekend the crew included Paul’s first mate Wendy, brother Adam and nephews Jonah and Aaron along with two of his more regular crew, Lionel and Laurent. Earlier this season loulou was also first in class at the Cedar Point One-Design Regatta and second at the American Spring Series.
